HydraCure PVA, VAE & Acrylic Emulsion Adhesives
AdCo’s HydraCure is a range of formulated performance water based emulsion adhesives based on PVA, VAE and Acrylic emulsion systems.
HydraCure can be used in many industrial markets including Woodworking & Joinery; Packaging; Printing & Bookbinding.

Wood Working & Joinery
HydraCure D2 PVA Wood Adhesive is a high quality PVA polymer emulsion based adhesive, for general assembly wood working applications, where bonds to BS4071 and BS5270: Part1: 1989, or EN204 D1 & D2 are required. This product exhibits very good adhesion to both soft & hardwoods and other porous materials such as papers and boards
HydraCure D3 is a one part self cross-linking PVA polymer emulsion based adhesive, for general assembly wood working applications, where a water resistant bond is required to BS 14256. HydraCure D3 is suitable for hot and cold pressing of high-pressure laminates to timber, chipboard, OSB and MFD. Also suitable for RF curing.
HydraCure D3 is suitable for veneering operations in the furniture and panel assembly industries.
HydraCure D3 can be used with AdCo’s A3040 activator to meet D4 specifications. An addition rate of 5% - 7.5% is recommended.
HydraCure 3072 is a fast setting, high solid content, PVA adhesive for use in the furniture and joinery industries. This grade has clean running characteristics and dried to a clear film that meets the creep resistant specifications of BS4071.
Hydracure 3072 is suitable for use on hard and soft woods, MDF, chip and particleboards. This product is suitable for general bonding operations and veneering.
HydraCure E3127 PVA Wood Adhesive is a high quality PVA polymer emulsion based adhesive, for general assembly wood working applications, where bonds to BS4071 are required. This product exhibits very good adhesion to both soft & hardwoods, and is ideally suitable for laminating high-pressure laminates to porous substrates.
HydraCure 3130 is a modern generation one pack self catalysing crosslinking emulsion adhesive designed for wood bonding operations, including the laminating of HPL and decorative materials to cellulosic stock panels.
The adhesive can be applied by roller coaters, knife or slot coaters applicators. Bonds MUST be made whilst the adhesive is still wet, but they may then be dried by hot or cold pressing (at temperatures above 16°C when cold pressing). Fast bonds are achieved when hot pressing, typically below 20 seconds at platen temperatures of 90°C. HydraCure 3130 is also RF curable.
When dried and cured, the glue line will give heat and moisture resistances meeting the demands of DIN 68602 D3 category.
When used in appropriate fire door construction this adhesive can survive 30-minute fire rating tests satisfactorily, but it is based on the total construction of the door and not the rating of any or all component.
Printing & Bookbinding
HydraCure 3205 is a high performance aqueous emulsion based adhesive for laminating of porous materials including paper, board, foams and leather.
HydraCure 3205 exhibits fast setting characteristics with good wet tack, The final cured bond exhibits exceptional flexibility.
Specialist applications include the laminating of filter media, and for a coating ‘dope’ for loudspeaker cones.
HydraCure 3237 is a high performance aqueous polymer based adhesive for laminating of porous materials including paper, board, foams and leather.
HydraCure E3237 exhibits fast setting characteristics with good wet tack and ‘lay-flat’ properties. The final cured bond exhibits exceptional flexibility
HydraCure PVCF is a multi–purpose VAE emulsion adhesive designed for use on what is generally classed as difficult to bond materials.
Applications include those in the packaging and converting industries on varnished and coated board stock, and in the furniture and laminating industries when supported or un-supported PVC films or similar are involved.
Ensure that all substrates are clean, dry and dust free prior to application. Application can be via nozzle, brush, roller or wheel.
HydraCure PS3000 is a very high solids, water based pressure sensitive acrylic emulsion adhesive, with a high degree of wet tack, and is suitable for use on difficult surfaces or where a permanently pressure sensitive bond is required.
